Hi, I’m jess.
My love of everything food-related motivated me to complete my Nutrition Degree at the College of Pharmacy and Nutrition through the University of Saskatchewan. I now work on Treaty 4 Territory (Indian Head and area) as a Registered Dietitian (RD), licensed through the Saskatchewan College of Dietitians (SCD).
My focus as a Dietitian is using my nutritional expertise to support individuals in achieving their goals - whether that is simply eating healthier, or something more complex such as managing chronic health issues like diabetes or heart disease. I aim to empower clients to take control of their health and be able to enjoy food again.
I also am passionate about teaching people of all ages food skills (meal planning, shopping on a budget, cooking, & baking) as well as about food security (growing & preserving your own food).
When I’m not at work, you’re likely to find me doing something outside - I’m a nature lover and avid gardener!
my approach
I believe that all bodies are diverse and unique, just like individuals! This is why I use an evidence-based, non-diet approach to support my clients while they achieve their health goals.
Additionally, I always aim to practice in a compassionate and non-judgmental way, providing a safe space for all community members. I focus on patient-centred care, tailored to each client, employing empathy and inclusivity. I am open to and respectful of the needs of neurodivergent and gender diverse individuals.
